It’s time to for the Annual Lakeland Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament! Mark your calendar for Monday, September 27th, 2021. The event, held at Stonebridge Golf Course (3049 Davies Plantation Rd.) begins with lunch (provided) at 11:30, followed by a shotgun start at 1:00. Title sponsor for 2021 is Rock ‘n Roll Sushi.
There will be door prizes, cash prizes, raffles and giveaways, including a car from Wolfchase Honda for hitting a Hole-in-one. Following this year’s event, Outback Steakhouse is sponsoring a dinner and will be grilling steaks for players after the tournament!
This is the 5th year that the Chamber has partnered with Lakeland Elementary School’s PTA and Lakeland Prep’s PTO to help support the schools that comprise the Lakeland School System. Over the years, they’ve raised over $35,000, with a 2021 goal to beat last year’s record of $10,000. The money is split between the two schools.
Brittney Buchanan, Executive Director of the Chamber, says they are already halfway to full capacity on 4 man teams. “This event gets bigger every year and we are expecting this year to be our best yet! Get a team together before we are full. We have some great sponsorships still available and we even have an option for families to cheer on golfers with their own message on a hole sign,” Mrs. Buchanan stated.
