A section of Memphis-Arlington Road within Arlington city limits will be temporarily closed for repairs through Sunday, March 3rd, due to a drain pipe failure beneath the roadway, according to Arlington city officials.

The closure will impact many drivers, including Lakeland residents who frequently use this route. Arlington officials stated that repair crews are working to fix the issue and restore the road for safe travel as quickly as possible.

During the closure, detours will be in place using Lamb Road and Evergreen Road to redirect through traffic. The repair timeline is weather permitting, and officials urge drivers to plan accordingly.

“We appreciate the community’s patience as we work to make these necessary repairs,” the city said in a Facebook statement.
