Daisy Aldinger was selected as the most patriotic dressed at the annual Lakeland Senior Center’s (LSC) 55+ Stars and Stripes Dinner June 28 at the IH Clubhouse.
Kim Odom, LSC manager, said Mrs. Aldinger was draped in sparkly patriotic colors from head to toe and for her selection she won VIP passes to the Memphis Botanic Garden.
Sponsored by Trustmark Bank, the event featured Joyce Cobb and Band with a variety of music including the National Anthem. Over 70 seniors attended in red, white and blue combinations, said Mrs. Odom. A barbecue dinner with homemade banana pudding was catered by Pink Flamingo. Creative Aging provided the music, said Mrs. Odom.
