Paula Bert Turner, orchestra director, said the theme of the concert is Orchestra Heroes.   “Each piece of music will tie into the theme in its own unique way from honoring heroic events to highlighting heroic composers to celebrating heroic musical efforts from the students themselves.”

“A special highlight of this concert will be the annual Mid-Winter Applause-a-Grams, so bring your favorite pen!  Audience members will be encouraged to contribute written compliments and bravos to individual musicians, sections, or the entire ensemble.”

There are 29 students in the Concert Orchestra, 26 in Beginning Orchestra.
