Kimberley Rossie was elected as vice chair.
The City Recorder will review the audio recording of meetings and prepare minutes, so the Board made a motion not to elect a secretary. Bylaws were approved with the only change being the portion about the secretary position.
Emily Harrell, city engineer, was first on the program to explain her department and projects in the City.
She talked about capital projects such as New Canada Road and the sewer expansions. She ended her presentation with a review of City recycling rules and the cost associated with “contaminated” trucks (materials which cannot be recycled).
CAB members were selected by the BOC (Board of Commissioners) last year to represent geographical areas of the City from north to south Lakeland and in-between, all serving two-year terms and meeting quarterly.
