Nutrition Spot opens in Lakeland with two local owners – Ribbon-cutting in January

Nutrition Spot opened this week in Corner Shops of Lakeland

Two Lakeland women always wanted to open a Lakeland business. This week Nutrition Spot in the Corner Shops of Lakeland was launched and the dream came true for owners Shanda Bearden and Amy Foster.

Nutrition Spot replaces the former Nutrition Lounge.

“When we heard about the previous owner moving out of state we jumped on the opportunity,” said Mrs. Foster. “We have wanted to open a business in Lakeland for some time and this actually worked out perfectly.”

The ribbon-cutting with the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce will be at noon Jan. 3rd.  “We will have a pop up LuluLemon shop in the store from noon to 3 p.m. We will have specials, samples and reveal a Lakeland tea and shake,” said Mrs. Foster.

Weekday hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  While currently closed on Sundays, the new owners will consider Sunday hours should the demand arise.

Mrs. Bearden said The Spot is a place where people can meet, stay and visit or just hang out.

“It’s important to invest in the community where you raise your family and Nutrition Spot is our way of doing that,” said Mrs. Foster.
