There will be a grand opening celebration at Regions Bank, part of the Corner Shops of Lakeland at Canada Road and U.S. Highway 64, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 21.

Michael Pardue, consumer banking executive for Regions, said the branch officially opened for business Monday (4.9.18) but the public is invited to experience the Bank’s new technology and personal service during the grand opening event.

In addition to hosting Regions’ “Big Green Bike” and offering free food, games and prizes, the grand opening will give people a chance to experience the branch’s technology and personalized services first-hand, said Mr. Pardue.

“The grand opening is the perfect chance to experience Regions’ commitment to the latest in technology and the best in personal service,” said Mr. Pardue.   “We look forward to serving longtime customers, and welcoming new ones, at this modern, convenient location.”

He categorized the new location as one of the most modern Regions Banks in the Mid-South.

“For some time, our customers have been asking us to expand into Lakeland, and we are especially proud to open this location that’s designed to reinforce the value of personal service from local bankers who understand the needs and opportunities affecting people and businesses in our community,” said Mr. Pardue.   “Our bankers are focused on having deeper conversations with customers to help them reach their financial goals. At the same time, we’re offering the latest in technology, so when a customer needs quick, efficient service early in the morning, late in the evening, or even on Saturday or Sunday, this branch has what that customer needs, too.”

The open design of the branch at 9850 US Highway 64 does not include a traditional teller line. Instead of waiting to be called up to a counter, when people walk into the Lakeland branch, they are greeted face-to-face by a local Regions banker who can help with everything from general transactions to more in-depth needs, such as planning budgets, analyzing financial options or creating a roadmap designed to help people accomplish their individual financial goals.

The branch also becomes the latest in the Mid-South to offer Regions Video Banking. The branch includes three Video Banking ATMs in the drive-through as well as a walk-up Video Banking ATM in the foyer.

Video Banking ATMs allow customers to connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service in a convenient setting. Along with processing most general transactions, Regions Video Bankers help people with account maintenance and general inquiries during expanded hours.

Regions Video Bankers are available on weekdays from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sundays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and during most holidays.

Regular banking hours — 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.

Other features at the new location include Regions’ facial recognition and fingerprint technology for customers using safe deposit boxes. This system employs several layers of technology designed to enhance security surrounding safe deposit boxes while also improving efficiency of access for Regions customers.
