While multiple construction projects are currently underway in Lakeland, three of the construction projects are pet-related.
One project underway is an expansion of the Pet Hospital business located at 3031 Canada Road. The new building will be the home of their upcoming boarding and grooming business. That location is also close to the Zadie Kuehl Dog Park which is located just behind The Pet Hospital.
The second project currently under construction is Banfield Pet Hospital. That location can be found on Highway 64 between eSporta Fitness (formerly known as LA Fitness) and an existing strip mall that houses Emerald Thai restaurant and Lenny’s Subs among others. Banfield is the largest veterinary practice in the country and according to their website, they have over 1,000 locations in the country. They currently have a location inside PetSmart in the Wolfchase shopping area.
The third project is part of the Lake District. Hollywood Feed is currently being built out and hopes to open in Phase 1 later this year. Hollywood Feed currently has 12 locations in the West Tennessee area. The Lakeland location will be the first dedicated pet store in Lakeland.
All three businesses hope to open this year.
