The cooler summer temps were perfect for an outdoor Crafts Corner at the Lakeland Senior Center (LSC) yesterday (7.25.19), according to Kim Odom, LSC manager and special events coordinator.
“The group of more than a dozen gathered on the Center’s patio to partake in a Do-It-Yourself craft project. They tinted Mason jars using Mod Podge and food coloring.
“Although a little messy, the finished project was a rainbow of transparent colored canning jars. The tinted jars can make a beautiful home décor flower vase, candle, lantern and chandelier,” said Mrs. Odom.
“We took advantage of the nice weather and headed outdoors. It was the perfect craft and perfect weather to take the project outdoors.”
