The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce is preparing for a significant turnout at its annual luncheon, set to take place on Wednesday, September 25, at the Lakeland Golf Club. The event, which runs from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will feature Lakeland Mayor Josh Roman delivering the annual State of the City address.
Held at the Lakeland Golf Club, located at 3049 Davies Plantation Rd., the luncheon and address has become a yearly tradition for city residents, offering a comprehensive update on Lakeland’s progress and future plans. In an email from Mayor Roman’s office, not only does he plan on giving a recap of current events in Lakeland but also plans to speak about the many changes in Lakeland over the past 10 years. Former Mayors, Commissioners and School Board Members during the previous 10 years have also been invited to take part in the event.
Tim Hogan’s Carpet & Floors will sponsor the luncheon, with Ritter Communications serving as the Spotlight Table sponsor. Pink Flamingo Catering will provide food for the event.
Tickets are $15 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members. For more information, contact Lakeland Chamber Executive Director Brittney Buchanan at brittney@mylakelandchamber.org or Membership Coordinator Diana Crenshaw at diana@mylakelandchamber.org.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as the Lakeland Prep Orchestra’s string octet will perform prior to the mayor’s address.
