As a way of saying thanks to city staff, Mayor Wyatt Bunker and the BOC provided a free lunch today for all city hall, public works and school system employees. The Mayor, Vice-Mayor Josh Roman and Commissioner Matt Wright grilled hotdogs and served staff food and beverages.
As staff gathered, the mayor and commissioners spoke to the staff and expressed appreciation for the service they provide to the city. “We get so busy sometimes we need to stop and and say thanks and enjoy the work we’ve accomplished as a city” Mayor Bunker said. Vice-Mayor Josh Roman added, “We have a talented team on both the city side and the school side and we want them to know their work is appreciated.”
Along with grilled hotdogs, staff selected from a variety of chips, deserts and beverages.
Commissioner Matt Wright finished by saying, “These employees are the tip of the spear for us as a city. They are usually the first people to interact with citizens on a daily basis. And that interaction is what gives our city such a good name.”
