Make that snow day #3 and six-day weekend for Lakeland students.
Dr. Ted Horrell, Lakeland School System (LSS) superintendent, announced this afternoon that schools will be closed tomorrow.
“Lakeland schools will be closed Wednesday, January 17th due to the icy condition of many roads in our district that could impact the safety of students and staff.”
All extracurricular activities for Wednesday, including Wednesday’s regional middle school basketball tournament games at LMPS, are also canceled. Information about tournament rescheduling will be forthcoming.
Schools were closed Friday (1.12.18) and today for snow and Monday in observance of MLK Jr Day. Tomorrow’s closure equals a six-day weekend for LSS.
