Dulcimer lessons and craft classes are among new programs at the Lakeland Senior Center (LSC) for August, according to Kim Odom, LSC manager.
“August happenings are now open for registration,” said Mrs. Odom. “Online preregistration is required for ALL activities being offered during Phase II of the COVID-19 outbreak. We realize online registration is difficult for some of you. If you absolutely cannot preregister online, have a friend register you or call me at 746-8195.”
- Craft Corner is scheduled for Aug. 11th at 1 p.m. Craft will be announced. Limited to 12 participants.
- Dulcimer lessons will be four Fridays: Aug. 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th at 10 a.m. at IH Clubhouse in the Rec Room. Provided by Creative Aging). For beginners. Learn the basics of the dulcimer. Limited to 8.
- Mosaics Studio six Thursdays: Aug. 20th, 27th and Sept. 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Provided by Creative Aging. Instructed by Kristi Duckworth. Limited to 8 participants.
- Canvas Art Tuesday, Aug. 25th, 1 p.m. Join us for an easy canvas painting class instructed by Penny Monroe. This month’s project is Four Season.
