LSB meets Monday with two high school topics on agenda

Two items relating to a high school in Lakeland are on the business meeting agenda of the Lakeland School Board (LSB) Monday (1.14.19) at City Hall.

There is to be preliminary discussion on forming a high school “start times committee” as well as discussion on updated construction costs and timeline estimates for a high school.

Currently Lakeland high school students attend Arlington High School through an interlocal between the two cities.  Lakeland students in grades PK-4th grade attend Lakeland Elementary School.   Grades 5-8 attend Lakeland Middle Preparatory School.

The agenda also includes the following:

  • December 2018 financial summary
  • Possible action on Fiscal Year 18-19 budget amendments
  • Discussion on Joint BOC (Board of Commissioners)/BOE (Board of Education) retreat.
