Lakeland Preparatory School students in grades 9–12 are invited to showcase their talents at the upcoming Open Mic Night, hosted by the Lakeland Prep Theatre Company (LPSTC). The event will be held on Thursday, August 14, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Carrington Oaks Coffee House and is open to all current high school students at LPS as a way to celebrate back to school.
Designed to kick off the LPSTC’s 2025–2026 season, Open Mic Night provides a casual, supportive space for students to perform in front of a live audience. From singing and poetry to stand-up comedy, monologues, and improv, the event welcomes a variety of creative performances.
Organizers say this is a great opportunity for students to express themselves, try something new, or just have fun in front of friends and family.
Admission is free, and all students, staff, and families are encouraged to attend and support the performers. Those interested in performing can sign up in advance and will be given time slots during the event.
