LPS Theatre Company only in its infancy as a program has earned five nominations for its second year of competition. The attendance for the performances of Disney’s Descendants exceeded prior years and pleased audiences with humor and great vocals over four performances. LPS Theatre students watched the live stream of Tuesday’s 2025 Orpheum High School Musical Theatre Awards nomination announcements in the Lakeland Prep auditorium. Students supported one another for the many months of hard work poured into the production of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical.
Lakeland Preparatory School came away with five nominations this year for Disney’s Descendants: The Musical.

- Outstanding Costumes
- Outstanding Lighting
- Outstanding Student Technical Achievement – Addy Blu Maness
- Outstanding Student Technical Achievement – Truman Heames
The Orpheum Awards will be held May 22nd and Lakeland Prep students and faculty will be there in attendance.
