The Lakeland Prep Band is marching into the 2025 season with energy, excitement, and a powerful new production. Band Camp kicked off on July 14 and continues through July 25, serving as a pre-season intensive to prepare students for the competitive marching season ahead.
This year’s show, All the Lonely People: Sketches of Eleanor, is inspired by several iconic Beatles hits, including “Come Together,” “I Want You,” and the hauntingly memorable “Eleanor Rigby.” The show reimagines the life of Eleanor through her memory books, presenting sketches of meaningful people and moments that shaped her journey. With themes of connection, loss, and lasting impact, the production is expected to be a fan favorite—especially for Beatles enthusiasts, who can look forward to discovering hidden musical easter eggs throughout the performance.
The LP Band is also experiencing tremendous growth. For the first time, the program boasts a senior class—students who helped launch the marching band when Lakeland Prep opened in 2022 with just 23 members. Now, the band has grown to a record 83 members, and the inaugural senior class is preparing to lead the program through a defining capstone season.
Adding to the momentum is the arrival of Jocelyn Hembruch, the band’s new assistant director. Known for her expertise and leadership, Hembruch has already made a strong impression and is playing a key role in guiding students and strengthening the instructional team.
The community is invited to see the results of the band’s hard work at the annual Community Preview Show on Friday, July 25 at 7 p.m. in the Lakeland Prep stadium.
Don’t miss this opportunity to support the LP Band and get a first look at what’s sure to be an unforgettable 2025 season.
