The winning teacher act at the third annual Coffee House Talent Show tonight (10.22.19) at LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) was a bigger-than-life surprise.
The “Taylor Swift Mash Up” featured five faculty members sporting bigger-than-life, two-dimensional heads of LMPS Principal Matt Adler, Assistant Principals Corrie Martin and Michael Kreeger, Plant Manager Sylvester Parker and Custodian Rod Wells.
Mrs. Garland, Mrs. Christopher, Mrs. Nolen, Mr. Miller and Mrs. Nanney strutted their administration personalities on stage to take first prize in the teacher acts of the evening.
Second place was Mr. Hopper and Mr. Parham playing “Learn to Fly” with their rock band.
Tied for third place was “The World’s Okayest Magical Magic Show of Magicians” with Mrs. Laxton, Mrs. Jones, Mr. Adams and Mrs. Rios; and Ms. Christy with two poems, “A Day at LMPS.

Among the 14 student and teacher performances of the evening were soloists, a monologue from the Queen of Hearts, several duets and a percussion line.
Four LMPS students introduced the acts along with Mrs. Christopher: Porter Spiceland, Lyllian Bogue, Graceanna Volner and Marlie Johnson.
The crew included Vidal Manrique, Daniela Hernadez, Bella Wheetley, Sydney Cooper, Vale Ospina and Naomi Lemma.
The Show was sponsored by the LMPS Drama Club and included concessions for sale.
