The second annual Symphonic Band Camp will be Friday (3.29.19) at LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) for all band students.
Anneliese Land, band director, said the format is similar to the first camp last year with a new clinician.
The Camp will be directed by Susan Waters, director of bands at Oliver Middle School in Nashville.
Mrs. Land said Mrs. Waters will work with all band classes during the school day and have a special clinic for the Concert Band after school.
Open rehearsal will be at 3 p.m. followed by dinner and a preview concert at 6:15 p.m. at the school.
“All classes get to work with the clinician during the day,” said Mrs. Land. “The Concert Band becomes the clinic band each year for this event, so that each LMPS Band student will have had two opportunities to be the clinic band by the time they leave LMPS.”
LMPS has three bands: Beginning, Concert and Jazz.
