Nada Daas, a 7th grader at LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School), has been recognized nationally in the Scholastic Art Awards. Nada won a silver key for her scratchboard piece. School officials said the accomplishment is huge, as very few students win nationally.
All of the gold key winners from the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art competition entered in December were sent from the regional competition to the national competition.
