One of two fundraisers at LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) kicked off today (9/9/19) and it’s incredibly easy, said PTO President Alexa Tutor.
It’s a simple pledge drive, said Mrs. Tutor, and the overall winner gets to pie Matt Adler, LMPS principal, at a pep rally in front of the entire school.
The Lakeland community along with Lakeland School System families are encouraged to support this fundraiser, said Mrs. Tutor. It runs through Sept. 23rd.
“LMPS is the INCREDIBLE school that it is because of the support we receive from parents and community members like you,” said Mrs. Tutor.
“This is the first of only TWO fundraisers the PTO does for the year, and it’s incredibly easy. There are no laps to run, no door-to-door selling, just a simple pledge drive.”
She said donations as small as $10 per family would allow the PTO to more than meet its goal of $8,000. “We are trying to raise funds to purchase a mat to protect our beautiful gym floor for years to come. We will also use the funds for makerspace/technology upgrades, fun programs for the kids and feeding our AWESOME teachers! No amount is too small!”
“We are proud of the accomplishments that LMPS has made in its first two years of existence and we know we will only continue to improve from here. We have great administrators, passionate teachers and fantastic children! Our schools are the pillar of our community, and we are honored to have the privilege to help keep our campus beautiful and enhance the programs and clubs we have here.”
The overall winner gets to pie Mr. Adler at the next pep rally in front of the entire school! There will also be rewards for the top pledging homeroom classes in each grade. “Thank you so much for your support – we could not do it without you!”
