Forty-two Concert Band members at LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) participated in a special Band Camp Friday (3.29.19) at the middle school.
Susan Waters, director of bands at Oliver Middle School in Nashville, was the clinician for 80 band students during the school day: Beginning, Concert and Jazz.
Starting at 3 p.m., the Second Symphonic Band Camp focused on the Concert band with rehearsal, dinner and a preview concert in the evening.
Anneliese Land, band director, said the Concert Band becomes the clinic band each year for the event. “Each LMPS Band student will have had two opportunities to be the clinic band by the time they leave LMPS.”
