The 8th grade girls and boys basketball team members, along with an 8th grade cheer squad member, were recognized in a ceremony Thursday (1.8.20) in the LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) gym.
Candice McGuire, head girls basketball coach and 8th grade math and algebra I teacher, said the students were recognized between the last varsity home girls’ and boys’ games. The last regular season game is Monday (1.13.20) at Elmore Park. “Then we begin the municipal tournament next week.”
Girls basketball team members honored were Carley Brock #4, Julia Hardee #20, Allie Bryan #33, Kaitlyn Kerchoff #42 and Maya McCreary #21. Candice McGuire is head coach, Kris McGuire is assistant coach.
Boys basketball team members are: Parker Peeler #2, Aidan Paire #30, Ethan Loesch #33, Hayden Kee #21, Taylor Quick #24, Anthony Hester #4: James Williams #32, Grant Roberson #34, Jack Pitts #5, and Marc Fuica #12. Head Coach is Chance Coleman with Michael Posey, assistant coach.
The 8th grade cheer squad member is Ajah Williams.
