The Lakeland Elementary School PTA is well known for it’s Spring Auction, the largest fundraiser they have every year. Last year’s event was the last “normal” affair in recent memory, before the Covid-19 pandemic shut everything down.
In it’s 13th year, the auction will look a little different. 2021 ushers in a new virtual auction, necessary due to social distancing requirements which prevents the large gathering that typically accompanies this soiree. Lacking the normal venue, food, theme, entertainment and ambience of a sold out environment, this year’s event will still offer food and a fun online bidding experience. The online auction begins April 8th at 9:00 am and closes April 10th at 9:00 pm.
Tickets are on sale now, with three different options, two of which include dinner catered by local caterer CFY, including an option for a dinner for four. The deadline for purchasing tickets with a dinner option is April 5th. CLICK HERE for tickets. Platinum Lion, Gold Cub and Silver Paw sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Kembree Darakshani, VP of Ways and Means for the PTA, is in charge of the event. She had this to say, “Auction is an event that so many look forward to every year. I’m excited to try a new format and still raise funds for our school. Hopefully next year we can have the auction online and in person. This year let’s us try something new and will make auction better in years to come. I can’t wait to see the creativity in the auction items and how much we raise for our school.”
