The 79-member LES (Lakeland Elementary School) Glee Club made joyful noises this week during their holiday programs in the school cafeteria.
With members from the third and fourth grades, the group performed holiday songs for fellow students yesterday (12.12.18) and today and a final performance for parents tonight.
Their repertoire included seven songs, each introduced by a student:
- Light the Candles
- Innkeeper
- Kwanzaa
- Rockin’ Old St. Nicholas
- La Fiesta!
- The Season of Hope
- Silver Bells
The students who introduced the songs were: Sophia Skogen, Jacob Mans, Baylor Roman, Lucy Ravlija, Tessa Smith, Jaclyn Ho and Lillian Lovern, according to Dianne Day, Glee Club director.
Ms. Day noted she was very proud of her students for learning so many songs in a short period. They also performed at the school’s Veterans Day Program last month.
