The annual play at LES (Lakeland Elementary School) this school year is “The Lion King Kids,” presented to students and the community in February.
The production is coordinated by the LES PTA and the Drama Club under the direction of Kristen Newton, fourth grade math and science teacher and Club sponsor.
Ms. Newton said the show will be presented to LES students Feb. 7th and is open to the public at 6 p.m. Feb. 8th and 4 p.m. Feb. 9th, all in the school cafeteria.
There are 90 students participating this year, ages four to ten, said Ms. Newton.
LES serves students P-K to 4th grade.
The Drama Club was organized at LES during the 2017-18 school year for “Annie’s Kids.”
