For the second time in just under two weeks, the Arlington (Arlington Middle School) Tigers defeated the LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) Lady Lions soccer team today (9.10.18).

The two teams were evenly matched, though Lakeland maintained an advantage in time of possession for much of the game. In the final minutes, however, Arlington scored twice on breakaways. The final score was 2-0.

Team Co-captain Hannah Russell commented, “It was a very even game, and we played hard.”

LMPS Principal Matt Adler showed his support by attending the game. He remarked, “The Lady Lions have been impressive during their first season. I know their talent will continue to develop. Coach Criner and her girls should be very proud of how competitive we are in our first season.”

The Lady Lions now have a 2-3 record. Their next game is Wednesday (9.12.18) at 4:30 p.m. in Millington against the Millington Stallions.
