The annual free LAMP outdoor concerts at IH Park begin in June and include one concert that month to compliment the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway which is in Lakeland.
Kevin Rooney, director of the Lakeland Parks and Recreation Department, provided the following schedule for the family-friendly live music series:
June 1st: Open date
June 22nd: Patty Shukla; The Mighty Electric St. Jude Band
July 27th: Will Tucker
August 24th: Open date
September 28th: Open
He said the June 22nd performance by the St. Jude Band will coincide with the June 23rd St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. The home, valued at $475,000, is located at 5046 Adagio Lane off U.S. Highway 70 in Lakeland.
The St. Jude band members will donate their proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, said Mr. Rooney. Also featured for that June 22nd concert will be Patty Shukla, children’s entertainer with a 45-minute interactive experience for children.
Since 2002 The Mighty Electric St. Jude Band has been providing energetic music for a wide range of events. The volunteer-based band, comprised primarily of St. Jude employees, performs solely for the benefit of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Link to their website: https://stjudeband.org/
Mr. Rooney said as bands are added to the summer schedule, details will be provided.
The concert series at the 65-acre IH Park, 4523 Canada Rd, typically includes inflatables and activities for children, food trucks and live music in the outdoor amphitheater.

St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Lakeland
The home is under construction by major donor and sponsor Southern Serenity Homes. It has four bedrooms/four baths in about 3,400 square feet. The foyer has handcrafted iron railings with hardwoods throughout the house, according to Megan Tancrell, senior regional development director, ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The house has a spacious owner’s retreat and an open floor plan kitchen and great room. Southern Serenity Homes is building the home for the 12th year.
The Dream Home will be open for viewing, at no cost, weekends starting May 18th and running through June 16th, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
Mrs. Tancrell said tickets are $100 each and only 14,500 tickets will be sold. Your ticket makes you eligible for all the prizes whose deadline hasn’t passed, said Mrs. Tancrell. “The earlier you buy your ticket, the more prizes you’re eligible for.”
