Lakeland to be featured on local radio show

A local radio personality will spotlight the Lakeland community on his daily show this month with interviews and a live radio broadcast from Lakeland.

Earle Farrell hosts KWAM the Voice Monday through Friday, 3-6 p.m. on KWAM-FM 107.9/AM 990 and during the week of May 21 the drive-time talk show will highland the business and residential communities of Lakeland. Brittney Buchanan, director of the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, is coordinating the focus radio shows on Lakeland.

“The show will highlight the business and residential community of Lakeland, through feature interviews with business owners, community leaders and government officials,” said Mrs. Buchanan.

“The week-long spotlight series will create awareness about the amenities and attributes found in Lakeland by posting Facebook and Twitter updates about the community.

“The spotlight will culminate May 24 with a live radio broadcast from 3-6 p.m. at the Delta Blues Winery, 6585 Stewart Rd. in Lakeland.  The community is invited to attend.”

She said the purpose of the spotlight is to highlight the positive lifestyle aspects of the Lakeland community.

The event will feature Chamber businesses and food and drinks will be available.   “It will be a great afternoon in Lakeland.”
