In light of the last week’s winter weather conditions, the scheduled Winter Homecoming festivities for Lakeland Prep had to be postponed. However, this unexpected delay provided students with additional time to prepare for fun days like the Teacher/Student Swap Day, where participants can either dress as teachers or emulate the student style. Other fun days with a twist have also given students a fun week for homecoming.
On Friday, the Lady Lions and men’s basketball teams will go head-to-head against Memphis Kipp Academy. The women’s game is scheduled for 6pm, followed by the men’s game at 7:30pm. The public is invited to come out and cheer on the Lions Friday evening and concessions will be available for attendees.
Amidst the hardwood battle, the Homecoming Court will be honored, with the ceremony expected to take place between 7 and 7:30pm. The list of participants for each grade includes:
