Lakeland Prep Student Recognized at 2026 Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards

Ella (middle) with friends at the Brooks Museum.

Ella Rudloff, a ninth-grade student at Lakeland Preparatory School, is currently enrolled in Visual Arts I Honors and has been taking daily art classes at LPS since sixth grade. Her instruction and dedication to her craft has led to an impressive achievement at the 2026 Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards Exhibit at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.

Ella was recognized alongside several other talented LPS students for their outstanding artwork. She earned a Gold Key in printmaking, a Silver Key in mixed media, and an Honorable Mention in ceramics. Her Gold Key printmaking piece, “The Unspoken Stare,” is currently on display at the Brooks Museum, along with numerous exceptional works from students across the Mid-South region. The exhibit will remain open to the public through February 22, 2026.

Gold Key recipients from the Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards automatically advance to the national level of judging in New York City, an incredible honor that places Ella among the top young artists in the region.

LPS middle and high school students will have the opportunity to view these inspiring works during their upcoming field trip to the Brooks Museum on Thursday, February 19th.
