Lakeland Prep High School has been named a 2025 TAA Arts Rich School of Merit, recognizing its commitment to arts education. The Tennessee Arts Academy (TAA) selected ten schools for this honor based on their dedication to providing arts-rich curricula and programming.

The Arts Rich Schools Program and Awards (ARSPA) seeks to celebrate and recognize innovative and resourceful schools that provide arts-rich educational curricula and programming for their students and the communities in which they live. The aim is to recognize the highest-performing schools and, simultaneously, provide assistance programs to all other school districts interested in growing and improving their own arts programs. The hope is that all Tennessee schools will achieve a curriculum where every student has an entryway into the arts as part of a holistic education.

Arlington High School and Collierville High School were the only other public schools recognized in the Memphis metro area while Briarcrest Christian School was the only private school named.

Lakeland Prep now advances to Phase Two of the program, where one elementary, middle, and high school will be named a “TAA Arts Rich School of the Year” this spring. Winners will be recognized at the 2025 Tennessee Arts Academy Summer Institute in July.
