A full auditorium enjoyed a vibrant evening of music on Monday as the Lakeland Prep Middle School Choir and Orchestra opened this year’s series of holiday performances. The annual concerts—free and open to families, friends, and community members—mark a cherished tradition at Lakeland Prep during the Christmas season.

The celebrations continue tonight at 7 p.m. with the Lakeland Prep Middle School Band taking the stage. The beginning band, percussion ensemble, and concert band will each perform a selection of seasonal pieces, culminating in a special presentation of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” narrated by LPS Principal Mrs. Martin. The event will also recognize the 2025–2026 All-West Middle School Honor Band students.

On Thursday at 6:30 p.m., the Lakeland Prep High School Orchestra will present an evening of seasonal music while closing out its annual auction, which remains open online at the linked fundraising page. The concert series concludes on Tuesday, December 16, at 7 p.m. when more than 100 students from the jazz band, percussion ensemble, and concert band deliver a mix of traditional holiday medleys and imaginative re-arranged classics.

All remaining performances will be held in the Lakeland Prep Auditorium, and the community is warmly invited to attend.
