Lakeland Preparatory School is proud to recognize Naomi Brown as this week’s Athlete of the Week, following a standout tennis season defined by consistency, competitiveness, and leadership.

According to Prep Tennis Coach, Melanie Fleming, Naomi delivered a dominant performance in singles play this spring, finishing with a perfect 8–0 record as the third-seeded player before moving up to the second-seeded position and adding another win to remain undefeated. Her ability to adapt and rise to every challenge made her one of the most reliable and formidable competitors on the court this season.

In doubles competition, Naomi played an instrumental role in the team’s success, helping lead Lakeland Prep to the state level. Along the way, she and her partner captured both District and Regional Doubles Championships, showcasing strong chemistry and high-level execution in critical matches. Known for her powerful serve and aggressive playing style, Naomi consistently kept opponents on the defensive.

Equally important is the impact Naomi has off the court. Coach Fleming says she is a supportive and cooperative teammate who contributes to a positive team environment. Her sportsmanship, integrity, and respect for the game reflect the values of Lakeland Prep athletics.
