Registration opens today (3.8.19) for youth baseball through the Lakeland Parks and Recreation Department.
Wendi Haley, recreation program supervisor, said registration runs through April 28th and baseball season is June and July.
Cost is $60 for 3-year-olds and $70 for ages 4-9. The fee includes a jersey, MLB hat and a Memphis Redbirds Gameday experience.
Ms. Haley said the program is entry-level in a non-competitive environment for players to learn, develop, practice the fundamentals of baseball, learn teamwork and have fun.
