The City of Lakeland’s popular Fall Soccer Program is back for 2025, providing local children an exciting opportunity to learn and enjoy the sport in a fun, positive environment. Registration is now open, with a deadline of August 10.
Running from late August through mid-November, the Lakeland Recreational Soccer Program is open to children of all skill levels. Designed to emphasize development over competition, the league focuses on building skills, teamwork, and a love for the game—without tracking standings or win-loss records.
Each team will play eight games during the season, with one practice held each week on a designated weekday chosen by the coach. Games for children in the 8U division and younger are typically held on Saturday mornings, while 10U and older may have games during the week or weekends. All recreational soccer programs provided by TSA/Lakeland will be held at the Lakeland Prep Athletic Annex Facility conveniently located at 9651 Old Brownsville Rd, right behind Lakeland Prep.
Volunteer coaches, supported by a league director and structured curriculum, help guide the young players through a season of growth and enjoyment. All 4U and 6U divisions are coed, and while 8U divisions may be coed or single-gender depending on registration numbers, players in 10U and older divisions will compete in single-gender formats.
Registration Fees by Division:
- 4U Coed (Birth Year 2022): $100 – 3v3 Format, No Goalkeepers
- 6U Coed (Birth Years 2021 & 2020): $110 – 4v4 Format, No Goalkeepers
- 8U Coed/Single-Gender (Birth Years 2019 & 2018): $115 – 4v4 Format, No Goalkeepers, With Referees
- 10U Single-Gender (Birth Years 2017 & 2016): $125 – 7v7 Format, With Referees
- 12U Single-Gender (Birth Years 2015 & 2014): $125 – 7v7 Format, With Referees
- 15U Single-Gender (Birth Years 2013, 2012, 2011): $125 – 7v7 Format, With Referees
Divisions are strictly organized by birth year to ensure fairness, although exceptions may be made under special circumstances.
Uniform Information:
All players are required to wear the official Lakeland Soccer uniform kit, which includes two Dri-Fit jerseys (red and navy), black Adidas shorts, and red and navy Adidas socks. The complete kit is priced at $56 (plus tax and shipping) and may be used in multiple seasons. This cost is not included in the registration fee.
