Lakeland extends State of Emergency due to COVID-19

The Declaration of State of Emergency in Lakeland has been extended until Friday (5.8.20), according to Shane Horn, city manager.

Thursday (4.30.20) Mr. Horn said City Hall, the IH Clubhouse and playgrounds will remain closed until May 18th. The Lakeland Senior Center is closed through May 31st.

The same day, the Mayor of Memphis, Shelby County and Lakeland, along with Arlington, Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown and Millington, determined that Monday (5.4.20) is the date to begin phase one of the Back-to-Business Framework.

The gradual reopening Monday includes libraries, places of worship, restaurants, retail stores, offices, and gyms with COVID-19 Compliant Protocol (CCP). Link to CCP: https://backtobusiness.memphistn.gov/protocol/
