Lakeland Community Clean Up Day Scheduled For June 29th

Lakeland residents, make sure and mark your calendars for June 29th. The city’s annual Community Clean Up Day will take place on Saturday, June 29th, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lakeland City Hall, located at 10001 Hwy 70. This event provides a convenient opportunity for residents to dispose of hard-to-recycle items.

Residents will be required to present proof of residency to participate in the clean-up day.

A wide range of items will be accepted, including:

  • Yard waste and limbs
  • Mattresses, box springs, and bed frames
  • Indoor and outdoor furniture
  • Fencing materials
  • Professionally decommissioned appliances (with paperwork)
  • Computers, computer accessories, cables, cords, and speakers
  • Phones, gaming systems, TVs, and most other electronics

However, certain items will not be accepted:

  • Oils
  • Paints
  • Antifreeze
  • Pesticides, herbicides, and chemicals
  • Railroad ties
  • Fluorescent bulbs and light bulbs
  • Non-decommissioned appliances
