Lakeland residents, make sure and mark your calendars for June 29th. The city’s annual Community Clean Up Day will take place on Saturday, June 29th, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lakeland City Hall, located at 10001 Hwy 70. This event provides a convenient opportunity for residents to dispose of hard-to-recycle items.
Residents will be required to present proof of residency to participate in the clean-up day.
A wide range of items will be accepted, including:
- Yard waste and limbs
- Mattresses, box springs, and bed frames
- Indoor and outdoor furniture
- Fencing materials
- Professionally decommissioned appliances (with paperwork)
- Computers, computer accessories, cables, cords, and speakers
- Phones, gaming systems, TVs, and most other electronics
However, certain items will not be accepted:
- Oils
- Paints
- Antifreeze
- Pesticides, herbicides, and chemicals
- Railroad ties
- Fluorescent bulbs and light bulbs
- Non-decommissioned appliances
