Lakeland is bringing back its holiday parade tradition, and this year it comes with a twist! The city will be doing a “Grinchmas” Christmas on November 30th, inviting families and friends to celebrate with a parade, tree lighting, and festive activities. The parade kicks off at 3:00 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church (2949 Davies Plantation Rd), winding through the heart of the city and concluding at Lakeland Preparatory School (5020 Lions Crest Drive).

The parade route, along with details on road closures and parking, can be accessed through this link. Following the parade’s end around 4:30 PM, attendees are invited to IH Managerial Park (4523 Canada Rd) for the evening’s festivities. Mayor Roman will perform the tree-lighting ceremony, setting the city’s Christmas tree aglow at 5:00 PM, followed by a performance by Lakeland Elementary’s Glee Club.

The Christmas tree at IH Clubhouse will be lit by Mayor Josh Roman. LC file photo.
