The Lakeland Arts Council is proud to announce the return of its signature event, A Night of Enchantment, for its second year. Set for Thursday, May 22, the evening promises to be a celebration of local art, live music, great food, and community spirit—all under the stars at the scenic Delta Blues Winery.
Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m., with guests encouraged to arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. to get settled and explore the venue. The Delta Blues Winery, which graciously hosted the event last year, is once again providing its beautiful setting for an unforgettable night.
This year’s headline performance will feature the Memphis Knights Big Band, known for their classic sound and high-energy performances. Also performing is local favorite Josh Cosby, whose recent appearance at the Lakeland Arts Festival earned rave reviews. Rumors are swirling about a surprise performance as well—organizers are keeping the details under wraps.
A variety of food trucks will be on-site to satisfy every palate, including Humdingers, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Flipside Asia, and Dipsticle Artisan Gelato Café. Guests will be able to enjoy delicious cuisine alongside the lively music and picturesque vineyard views.
This year’s featured artist is Samantha Walker, whose vibrant designs will be included in the event’s sponsor gifts. Walker will also be painting live at the event, alongside fellow acclaimed artists Glenda Brown, best known for her portrait of Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland, and Wei Emmert, whose expressive style has captivated local art lovers.
Walker shared her excitement for this year’s event, saying, “I attended the Lakeland Night of Enchantment last year, and it was nothing short of a magical night for the whole family. I am looking forward to going again this year.”
The Lakeland Arts Council extends its heartfelt thanks to all event sponsors and supporters. With growing enthusiasm and community involvement, the Council looks forward to many more years of arts-centered events in Lakeland.
