The highly anticipated second annual Lakeland Arts and Crafts Festival is set to take place this weekend at Lakeland Town Square, with organizers expecting a crowd of thousands to join in the fun. With over 60 vendors showcasing a wide variety of goods from local and regional businesses and artisans, the event promises something for everyone.
For the first time, the festival will feature School Support Organizations (SSOs), located in an area named “Lions Lane,” adding a community-focused element to the festivities. Spanning phases 1 and 2 of Lakeland Town Square, the event will include activities for all ages, such as a bouncy house in phase 2 and the “Sleigh Your Selfie” experience in phase 1—a unique photo opportunity with a life-size sleigh and a winter-themed backdrop.
Music will play a key role in this year’s festival, with more than 10 different performances scheduled throughout the day. The lineup includes:
- St. Benedict at Auburndale Orchestra, Band, and Rock Band (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
- Briarcrest Soundscape and 76-South (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
- Alexis Jade (12:00 PM – 12:30 PM)
- Josh Cosby and Jeremy Stanfill (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
- Memphis Symphony Orchestra Quartet (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
- Jeff Hulett and the Hand Me Downs (3:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
- Lakeland Prep Orchestra (3:30 PM – 4:00 PM)
- The Bellevue Orchestra (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
Festival-goers will have plenty of food options, with restaurants such as The Owners Box, Margaritas, and Carrington Oaks, along with a variety of food trucks and vendors offering diverse cuisine. Shoppers can get a head start on their holiday shopping with an extensive selection of items, including candles, pet products, art, baked goods, and more.
