The City of Lakeland has released details for its 2nd annual Freedom Festival Fireworks Show, set for Saturday, July 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lakeland Prep Athletic Annex, located at 9651 Old Brownsville Road next to the Lakeland Prep campus.
The event will once again feature a commercial fireworks display choreographed to patriotic music, along with live entertainment from Twin Soul ahead of the show. Attendees can also enjoy food vendors and a variety of activities for children, making it a family-friendly Independence Day celebration.
City officials said last year’s inaugural event drew thousands of attendees and was widely praised, establishing what is quickly becoming a new community tradition. With this year’s date confirmed, families are encouraged to plan ahead for another evening of celebration.
