After rumors and speculation of two new retail tenants in phase one of The Lake District, it was finally made official today. According to Maggie Gallagher, Director of Development, CycleBar and StretchLab have both signed a lease and will be welcomed fitness additions to the mixed multi-use development located at I-40 and Canada Rd in Lakeland. CycleBar will occupy 2,500 square feet and StretchLab will occupy 1,500 square feet.
According to Ms. Gallagher, only two bays remain for lease in phase one of the project.
Jason McAlister, the owner of both CycleBar and StretchLab, said “We are so excited about being a part of The Lake District.” He continued by saying, “We wanted a location where once you are there, you never need to leave. Our customers have housing, dining, shopping, salons and now cycling and stretching.” Ms. Gallagher enforced that feeling saying the “co-tenant” mix is vital to development nowadays. “In today’s market, with online shopping and pandemic fears, we had to create a really special place that is more of a lifestyle choice for people,” she said.
Last month The Lake District started construction on the upscale townhomes in the residential section of the project. The developer’s goal is to provide residents with easy access to the healthy lifestyle promoted within the community.
Mr. McAlister said anyone in the Lakeland Community is welcome at both CycleBar and StretchLab no matter their age or their level of fitness. “These experiences are more than just exercise. Our desire is to help people forget about stress, get better, feel better and move better,” he said
