Four days of activities are planned for LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) for Homecoming this week.
Spirit Week begins Tuesday (9.17.18) as Neon Day followed by Decade Day on Wednesday.
5th grade is 50s
6th grade is 60s
7th grade is 70s
8th grade is 80s
Thursday is School Spirit Day with school colors or apparel.
Friday is Luau Day/Hawaiian shirt/ tacky tourist day.
The Homecoming pep rally is Thursday with the Homecoming Court announced.
Thursday night is the Homecoming Game against Houston 1. Varsity starts at 6 p.m. followed by the JV game. The winners of the Homecoming Court will be announced at halftime of the Varsity game.
There are two Homecoming Dances Friday in the LMPS Cafeteria, sponsored by the cheerleading and football teams. The dance theme is Luau.
3:15 – 4:15 – Fifth grade
4:30 – 6 p.m. – Sixth through eighth grade
LMPS, which opened in August 2017, serves grades 5-8. Lakeland Elementary School serves K-4. High school students attend Arlington High School through an interlocal until a high school is built in Lakeland.
