It is a day when Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent, a 40-day period of fasting, prayer and penance.
In Western Christianity, Easter Sunday must always fall on the next full moon after the Spring Equinox. It is typically observed with church services, often at sunrise, Easter egg decorations and family-gatherings.
For 2020, it’s “Safer at Home” because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a virtual Easter Egg Hunt or Social Distancing Easter Egg Hunt and taped or live feed church services.
It’s also a rainy, windy Easter.
But still, it is Easter Sunday.
