Coming back after a two year pause due to Covid is one of the most festive events of the school year. You may not fully appreciate what exactly International Family is about until you experience it first-hand. Lakeland residents from a myriad of backgrounds share their culture and give us a glimpse of their cuisine. Many nations are represented in a cafeteria space that could easily be four times as large and still need more room. Originally scheduled for October, it is now on the calendar for November 15th from 6-8 pm at LPS. The school asks that you please remember to make that adjustment to your calendar.
If you have never attended this event before, just imagine a multisensory event where tables representing Mexico, Germany, Kenya, China, and more fill the air with delicious smells and flavors. Colorful presentations grab your attention while the music plays. It is really a fantastic opportunity to appreciate the diversity of our community and to connect with one another.
