Republic will collect trash on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, according to Rhonda Fink, community services representative for the City of Lakeland.
There is no trash service on Christmas Day, meaning trash will delayed one day, said Mrs. Fink. Tuesday will pick-up Wednesday, Wednesday will pick-up Thursday, Thursday will pick-up Friday.
Recycle will pick up on Saturday.
Republic will run the same schedule for the week of New Year’s.
Lakeland City Hall and the Lakeland Senior Center are closed Dec. 24, 25 and Jan.1.
Winter holidays for Lakeland public schools are Dec. 23 – Jan. 4.
The Lakeland School System central office will be closed Dec. 24-27 and Dec. 31 – Jan. 1.
