The much-anticipated 2024 Lakeland Harvest Festival is just around the corner, bringing a host of autumn-themed festivities to the community. Set for Saturday, October 12, 2024, at IH Park (4523 Canada Road), the festival will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., offering an exciting day of family-friendly fun.
Local businesses and organizations will participate as trick-or-treat stations, alongside activities such as face painting, balloon art, inflatables, games, and plenty of prizes. A pie-eating contest, pumpkin carving contest, and a germ-free version of bobbing for apples (with each participant having their own bucket) will also be part of the celebration.
Please note that there will be no on-site pumpkin carving. Instead, participants are asked to bring pre-carved pumpkins to enter in the competition. The popular annual costume contest will return, divided into age categories with approximate times as follows:
- 2 years and under: 1:15 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- 3–6 years old: 2:05 p.m. – 2:25 p.m.
- 7–9 years old: 2:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
- 10–13 years old: 2:50 p.m. – 3:05 p.m.
- 14–18 years old: 3:10 p.m. – 3:25 p.m.
- Family category: 3:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
While registration is not required for the costume contest, participants in the pie-eating contest and the bobbing for apples competition must register on-site. In case of rain, the event will move indoors.
Parking will be available at IH Park and Lakeland First Baptist Church, located across the street. For additional information or questions, contact Kim Odom at 901-746-8195.
