Patrick Beckham, an LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) 6th grader, loves football and has lots of Lakeland Lions school spirit.
So it was fitting he chose to carve his family’s pumpkin this year (2018) as the Lakeland Lions mascot.
He is the son of April and Patrick Beckham and plays on the LMPS football team.
Mrs. Beckham said her only role in helping Patrick with his pumpkin was her printer. “He found a picture to use as kind of template and I let him use my printer. The tools he used were those you get with a basic carving kit, mainly a tiny little saw that came with the kit. It took him about an hour.”
She said Patrick takes basic art at LMPS but his real passion is football.
