The annual Lakeland Halloween Festival will be from 1 – 4 p.m. Oct. 27th at IH Park, 4523 Canada Rd.
Kim Odom, special events coordinator for the City, said the family-friendly event will offer contests and a variety of activities. It is sponsored by the City of Lakeland Parks and Recreation Department.
Included in the three-hour Festival will be giant obstacle inflatables, trick-or-treating, face painting, photos with costumed characters, pumpkin decorating, Mr. Mike the Balloon Man and plenty of giveaways.
Vendors will be at the Festival to showcase their products and serve as trick or treat stations: Sprouts Farmers Market, Cannon Chiropractic, KTnB (Keep Tennessee Beautiful), State Farm, F45 Training, Boomerang Escapes, Mathnasium, Memphis Redbirds, Trustmark Bank, Four Way Insurance, BrownDog Lodge Veterinary Clinic, Orangetheory, Edward Jones,Renewal by Anderson of Greater Memphis and more.
The two contests include Costume and Pumpkin Pie-eating. “Families, get creative,” said Mrs. Odom. “Don’t forget the Family Costume category. All 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the costume contests will receive a trophy. Costume Contests will be divided into age categories. Pumpkin Pie-eating Contest 1st place winners will also receive a trophy.”

Food truck will be Chow Dogs and Things.
Mrs. Odom said in case of rain, activities will be moved inside to the IH Clubhouse adjacent to the Park.
